Web Site Taken Down

I have taken down TheCopperVine.com. I still love finding and repotting special houseplants, helping with bug emergencies & tackling yard maintenance projects. However, the people who have contacted me since the store closed have been difficult to deal with, do not show up to pick up their special orders and cancel appointments at the last minute. I wonder if the lack of face to face contact allows people to think that they do not have to be either respectful or responsible.

If you follow this blog or are an old store customer, please do continue to contact me. I am happy to find and deliver plants, repot and help with yard maintenance or special occasions.

As fall approaches and we can rely on cooler temperatures & frequent rainy days to allow new plants to establish, I will be purchasing natives & perennials to fill out garden beds. Special orders are welcome.

Enjoy the waning days of summer and celebrate the fall changes!

Winter Irises

These little irises are blooming for a second time this winter. They are too fragile to pick for a vase so we have to wander through the garden to enjoy them.

Not Enough Neglect

Working at home has a lot of benefits: pajamas are comfy and old movies make data entry less dreary. Unfortunately, little things that need to be done around the house get noticed. My plants had been very neglected. With regular watering, the staghorn fern flourished. Unfortunately, the cylindrical snake plant did not. The base finally rotted through today and the plant fell out of the pot.
